Our History

It all began when a single kiosk at the corner of 38th and Mitchell in 1978, called Fastgas and Snax, made its mark as a neighborhood fueling spot.

In time, that kiosk became a store, offering folks in town fuel and snacks of all kinds, from coffee to sweets, hotdogs and beer. Our staff was always ready with a friendly face and a helping hand. Since then, Fastgas has grown nine convenience stores in St. Joseph, Easton, Stewartsville, as well as Wathena.

As our company grew, our offerings did too. Our Fresh Fare line of foods provides customers with breakfast and lunch sandwiches, wraps and bowls, plus cookies, cakes and candies, as well as several healthy options, including fresh fruits!

We also cater! We offer a variety of party platter options and menu choices. It’s all made fresh and local. You can find Fresh Fare at all nine Fastgas convenience stores in St. Joseph and the surrounding area.

We also offer delicious Northern Lights Pizza and Sandella’s Flatbread meals at the Frederick location, plus a car wash at the Belt & Pickett location.
